Tried the spicy basil fried rice and spicy wings at Hey Thai and both were amazing. The fried rice had a perfect level of spice and a lot of flavor, and the wings were crispy, juicy, and seriously addictive. Great atmosphere and friendly service too. Definitely one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried recently.

I recently dined at Hey Thai and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I began with the chicken satay appetizer, which was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce from the wok section of the menu—another excellent choice, full of rich taste and cooked just right. The restaurant had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The service was also outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the visit. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Thai food in the Financial District.

We were downtown for a couple of dog adoption events and when it came time to eat, we were not quite sure where to land. A quick search brought up Thai food in the area and Hey Thai came up, so we decided to give it a shot. The lemonade was a pleasant surprise, tasting legitimately homemade rather than the standard fountain variety you find most places. The calamari came in generous pieces, heavily breaded but with a satisfying crunch, and the sweet chili dipping sauce delivered on flavor. The pork chop was equally solid, a respectable portion served alongside white rice that held its own as a side. The ambience leans dark with an abundance of artificial plants scattered throughout, giving the space a tropical feel that is either charming or a bit much depending on your taste. The staff was a mixed experience, some genuinely warm and attentive, others appearing less enthusiastic about being there. That is not unusual in food service and it did not take much away from the overall visit. One thing worth mentioning for the sake of honesty. The restroom needed attention during our visit. Staff was notified and they did respond, though the cleanup was not as thorough as it could have

Reserved a booth on resy and once we stepped in, the interior was just welcoming and cute. Welcoming and caring staff. Ordered pad see ew w/chicken and it was to my liking! Portion size is large for an affordable price (ate half the plate there and took the other half to go).
